Tributes were paid to Dr. BR Ambedkar on the occasion of the 69th Mahaparinirvana Diwas at the Parliament House lawn. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, former President Ram Nath Kovind, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla paid tribute. During this, PM Modi and Kharge welcomed each other in a special way. Both shook hands with each other and were seen laughing out loud.

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi on Friday paid tribute to the architect of the Constitution Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar on his death anniversary. He said that today when the country is remembering his contribution, he once again reiterates his commitment to fulfill his vision.

Along with this post, the Prime Minister also shared a picture related to his visit to Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai earlier this year and wrote, 'Jai Bhim'.
