Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, accused in the money laundering case related to the excise policy scam, has again sought relief from the Supreme Court. In the latest case, CM Kejriwal has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding an extension of his interim bail by 7 days.

Interim bail sought on health grounds

In his latest petition, CM Kejriwal has sought an extension of interim bail by seven more days on health grounds, including that he has lost seven kilograms of weight. The petition states that Arvind Kejriwal will have to undergo certain medical tests and for this purpose, his interim bail, which is expiring on June 1, should be extended.

News agency ANI quoted Aam Aadmi Party as saying that the Delhi Chief Minister will have to undergo PET-CT scan and other tests. Therefore CM Kejriwal has asked for 7 days to conduct the investigation.

Will have to surrender on June 2

He was also barred from visiting his office or the Delhi Secretariat and signing official files unless it was necessary to obtain the approval of the Lieutenant Governor. Now he will have to surrender on June 2.

The arrest took place on March 21
