The team of Archaeological Survey of India will continue the survey work on the second day as well. The team will reach different religious places and collect samples. Earlier on Friday, 19 wells and five pilgrimage sites built in and around the city were surveyed. The ASI team has taken samples for carbon dating of the ancient Shiva temple located at Khaggu Sarai and the ancient well located on its premises.
So that it can be ascertained how old they are. Apart from this, the team also surveyed the wells and pilgrimage sites located at different places in the city. After finding the ancient temple in Sambhal, DM Dr. Rajendra Pansia sent a letter to the Director of ASI and asked for a survey to be conducted here. It was said that Sambhal has been a religious and historical place.
It is believed that there are 68 pilgrimage sites, 19 wells, 36 ponds, and 52 inns here. The pilgrimage sites and wells have come to light during the visit of the officials. These pilgrimage sites and wells are important from the religious and water conservation point of view. Since these are said to be ancient. Therefore, determining their age is necessary from the point of view of heritage conservation. In this sequence, a four-member team of ASI reached Sambhal on Friday and conducted a survey. The team surveyed 6 am to 3:30 pm.

10- Dharni Barah well located below Jama Masjid Chowki, Mohalla Kot Garvi
11- Bhadraka Ashram Tirtha, Hoj Bhadesara
12- Swargdeep Tirtha/Sati Math, located in the village of Jalalpur Mohammadabad
13- Chakrapani Tirtha, village Jalalpur Mohammadabad
14- Ancient well located near Ek Raat Wali Masjid, Mohalla Kot Garvi
15- Jama Masjid Complex located at an ancient well, Mohalla Kot Garvi, Sambhal.

Sambhal has historical and religious importance. ASI team has surveyed 19 wells and five pilgrimages. This survey lasted for about 9 hours. If required, the team can be called again. The report will be prepared on the basis of whatever survey the team has done so far. Further action will be taken on the basis of the report.
