The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has achieved a major breakthrough in the car bomb blast case near the Red Fort. The NIA has arrested a suspect named Shoaib from Faridabad. It is alleged that Shoaib not only sheltered terrorist Umar Nabi just before the blast but also provided logistical support. With this arrest, the total number of arrested suspects in this case has reached seven.
Date of events and the role of the accused
According to sources, the layers of the case have begun to unravel after Shoaib's arrest. According to preliminary information, Shoaib had previously been called for questioning in this case and was then released. However, following the latest revelations, he was called for questioning again and arrested.
It is also being reported that Shoaib was the one who took the main terrorist, Dr. Umar, to areas like Mewat and Nuh, where Dr. Umar stayed at Shoaib's sister's house.
Recoveries and New Updates in the NIA Investigation
This significant development in the arrest came when another arrested accused, Dr. Muzamil, revealed Shoaib's address during interrogation. Based on Dr. Muzamil's information, the NIA recovered several important items from Shoaib's home,
including a grinder and other materials.
It is believed that these materials could have been used for bomb-making or other terrorist activities. The NIA is currently conducting extensive interrogation of Shoaib to identify other members of this terrorist module and their nefarious intentions.
A car bomb exploded near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi on November 10, 2025. The blast has so far claimed 15 lives. The car bomb explosion outside the Red Fort in Delhi on November 10 shocked the entire nation.
The NIA took over the investigation immediately after the incident. During the NIA's intensive investigation, it was revealed that terrorist Umar Un Nabi, who is being considered the main accused in the attack, was sheltered by Shoaib, a resident of Dhauj, Faridabad.
Sequence of Arrests
The NIA had previously arrested six other close associates of Umar in this case. Shoaib is the seventh accused to be arrested in this case. These arrests are helping the NIA understand the members of the terrorist module, their modus operandi, and their relationships. The agency is trying to determine whether a larger network was behind this terrorist attack.
