Heavy rains in Colombo as well as in Kandy (Pallekal) affected the matches. Both India's matches were affected by rain. After the cancellation of the India-Pakistan group match, a proposal was also made to keep Sunday as a reserve day for the Super Four match to be held between the two teams. However, no statement from ACC has come out on this.
