Bapu's statue misbehaved in the US: Demolition of a life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi; This is the second incident to happen in 2 weeks.

The statue of Mahatma Gandhi was vandalized by miscreants in New York, USA. The statue was installed outside a Hindu temple in Queens County. The police officer said that 6 people have carried out this incident. This is the second incident of vandalism in the last two weeks. Earlier on August 3, some people had demolished this idol.

 

6 unknown people carried out the incident

 

Police said- The incident took place near Shri Tulsi Temple located in South Richmond Hill. Around 1:30 pm 6 unknown people came. They broke the life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi installed here. Unknown people also wrote Grandpie and Doug (dog) on ​​the road outside the temple. After this everyone got in the car and ran away.

Assemblymember Jennifer Rajkumar has condemned the incident. It is sad to know that the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, known as the Symbol of Peace, was misbehaved. It also shows growing hatred against Hindus.

 

Khalistan supporters have damaged the statue of Bapu

 

Such incidents of vandalism with Bapu's statue have happened in America in the past as well. On 26 January 2022, Khalistan supporters tried to desecrate the Gandhi statue in Washington DC. Khalistanis had put their flag on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. In January 2021, a 6-foot-tall statue of Bapu was damaged in Central Park, California.

 

Earlier in December 2020, Bapu's statue in front of the Indian Embassy in Washington was damaged. This work was also done by the supporters of Khalistan. Earlier in June 2020, the statue of Gandhi was damaged by spray painting outside the embassy.
