Jagdalpur, April 10 (IANS) Polling began Thursday in Chhattisgarh's Bastar Lok Sabha constituency, one of India's worst insurgency-hit regions.
Over 1.29 million voters will decide the fate of eight candidates in the constituency where roughly 80 percent of the total 1,797 polling booths have been declared "ultra sensitive".
Bastar, which is made up of six assembly segments, has more female voters at 665,290 than 633,681 male voters.
