AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the proposed Waqf Amendment Bill of the Central Government. Along with this, he has also shared the data of land being controlled by Hindu religious institutions on social media.
He has said that the BJP and Sangh, who are spreading this rumor about the Waqf Board, should read a little.

Asaduddin Owaisi wrote on social media, "Andhra Pradesh controls about 4 lakh acres of land under the Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions Endowment Act 1987. Telangana controls 87,235 acres of endowment (temple) land under the Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act 1987. This was stated in the CAG report in March 2018."
He further said, "The 1951 Act is similar in Odisha as well. The CAG report included data from 13 religious institutions. The total land assets under these 13 Hindu religious institutions were found to be 12,767.67 acres in the report."
'Mentioned TNHR&CE Act 1959'
Asaduddin Owaisi further wrote on social media, "Tamil Nadu has the TNHR&CE Act 1959. According to the policy note published by the Tamil Nadu government, the total land under TNHR&CE in 2022 was 4.78 lakh acres. The Hindu Endowment Board of 4 states has control over more than 10 lakh acres.
He said, "We have not mentioned Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. All have huge religious institutions. BJP and Sangh, who are spreading this rumor about the Waqf Board, should read a little that no non-Hindu can become a member of the Endowment Boards of various states, even the Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner cannot be a non-Hindu."
Questions were raised on BR Naidu's statement.
Earlier, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had targeted the statement of TTD Board Chairman BR Naidu. In which he had said that the employees working in the temple should be Hindus.
In this statement, Asaduddin Owaisi said, "The Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam says that only Hindus should work in Tirumala. But the Modi government wants to make it mandatory to have non-Muslims in the Waqf Board and Waqf Council. Most Hindu endowment laws insist that only Hindus should be its members. The rule that is right for one should be right for the other as well, right?"
