BJP appointed Sunil Bansal as National General Secretary, was also made in-charge of three states

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda has appointed Sunil Bansal as the national general secretary of the party. He was earlier the General Secretary of BJP UP. In addition, he has also been appointed as the party's state in-charge for West Bengal, Odisha, and Telangana. This information was given in an official statement issued by the party.

 

Sunil Bansal, who was the former national co-organization minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, was appointed as the organization general secretary of BJP in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2014. He was instrumental in writing the script for the success of the party in UP in the last two assembly elections. Counted as one of the key strategists of the party, Sunil Bansal came into the limelight in the 2014 general election.

 

Now he will also take command of West Bengal from Kailash Vijayvargiya. He has been made in charge of Bengal. He has also been given the charge of Telangana where the BJP is aggressively preparing for the 2023 Assembly elections.

 

In place of Bansal, the party has entrusted the responsibility of the organization general secretary in Uttar Pradesh to Dharampal, who is holding the responsibility of organization general secretary of BJP in Jharkhand.

 

Karmaveer, who is still holding the responsibility of co-organizational general secretary in Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed as the organization general secretary of BJP in Jharkhand in place of Dharampal.
