Alleged BJP leader Shrikant Tyagi, accused of indecency with a woman in Grand Omaxe Society, Sector 93-B, Noida, kept hiding in six cities to dodge the police. When he changed the SIM and contacted his wife and lawyer, the police arrested him from Meerut. During the absconding, the accused was constantly changing the city from mobile, SIM, and network. Talking to the mobile, he used to go to the no network zone of the hilly area. The accused was hiding in Meerut for two days. To nab the accused, the police scanned 150 CCTVs in different cities and raided more than 25 hotels. When Srikant's video started going viral on social media after indecency with the woman and the police followed behind, he first reached Delhi airport to go to Lucknow, but when the matter cropped up in the media, he went to Meerut. On 6th August, via Muzaffarnagar, he reached Haridwar and Rishikesh.

 

On August 7, he returned to the border of Uttar Pradesh and changed his mobile and SIM. He stayed in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Baghpat only on 7th August, but came to Meerut at night. The first footage of Srikanth's location was received by the police on August 7. His car was caught on CCTV near Kashi toll plaza in the Partapur area on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway in the evening.

 

Noida Police was also present at a distance of about 15 minutes. When the police started the chase, the location of Shrikant was found in front of Partapur police station till Rithani village. After this, the car went near Sushant City of Meerut bypass. After this Srikanth could not be traced. Shrikant was hiding in a house in Shraddhapuri in the Kankarkheda area of ​​Meerut. Now the police are tracing the landlord and other people.

 

The wife questioned for seven hours

 

When Srikant contacted his wife and lawyer late on Monday night, the police got a clue. At around 6.30 in the morning, the police brought the wife to the police station. The wife was interrogated for about seven hours and the police checked the mobile. During this, some other numbers also came out, from which Shrikant and associates were calling. After this, based on the location, the police reached Meerut and nabbed Shrikant. After his arrest, Shrikant was brought to Partapur police station in Meerut. From here he was brought by the Noida Police with them.

 

ACP PP Singh's important role in the arrest

 

Dodging the police, Shrikant was busy preparing to surrender to the court through a lawyer. ACP PP Singh and other officers posted in Noida Commissionerate were in touch with the lawyers. The lawyers wanted Shrikant to surrender to the court, but the Noida police wanted to arrest him at all costs. It is discussed that through the acquaintance of ACP, the Noida Police reached the house of Shraddhapuri in Meerut, where Shrikant was hiding.

Many influential people also helped him to escape and hide. Many people are associated with the ruling party in this.
