Agra, Jan 12 (IANS) The BJP won only one out of eight seats in the Agra Cantonment Board, and two out of seven in neighbouring Mathura in the elections held in the two places Sunday.
The Agra Cantonment Board poll results were declared Sunday night, and those of Mathura Monday morning.
The Agra battle acquired a degree of prestige because the Bharatiya Janata Party for the first time contested the election on its symbol. Earlier, it used to back Independents.
