Fans eagerly await Sunny Deol's films, and Border 2 is one of his most anticipated. After releasing posters of Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty from the war drama film, the makers released the teaser for 'Border 2' on December 16th, Vijay Diwas (Victory Day).

Every scene in the 2-minute, 4-second teaser of Border 2 is goosebump-inducing, but one dialogue delivered by Sunny Deol resonated deeply with fans: "How far should this voice reach... all the way to Lahore!" This dialogue received thunderous applause at the teaser launch, but did you know that this line was never part of the 'Border 2' script?  It was actually suggested by Varun Dhawan to the director. Read the details of the story behind this line in the article below:

Heard this dialogue while shooting in Leh

Talking about how director Anurag Singh got the idea to include the 'Lahore तक' (to Lahore) dialogue in Border 2, the director said, "We were shooting in Leh, and there was an instructor at an army cadet camp who was lining up his soldiers. He felt that his soldiers' energy wasn't high enough, so he immediately said to them, "Why isn't your voice coming out? How far should this voice reach?" There were 100 soldiers standing there, who shouted, 'To Lahore!'"

Director Anurag Singh further added, "Those words caught our attention; we all became alert. The team went to him and asked if he always says that." Hearing this, we left, but Varun Dhawan immediately sensed that if these words he had spoken were included in 'Border 2', the movie would be even more impactful."

The director wasn't convinced even after witnessing the real moment.

Varun Dhawan revealed that he tried to convince the director to include the dialogue in the film, but he didn't agree. He said, "Sir, usually we don't include anything in the film that isn't part of the script. I kept pleading with him, telling him that the real moment was right in front of us. I requested him to use these words in the film, and finally, he agreed to include it in the teaser." Varun Dhawan also mentioned that he had to seek Sunny Deol's help to get the director to include this dialogue in the film.

Varun said, "When Sunny sir was performing, I was standing in line, and I got goosebumps. The trainer was also standing there and saying, 'The message must have reached them.' This film, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, will be released in theatres on January 23, 2026.
