Bumrah will go to New Zealand for surgery: Rowan Schouten, the doctor who performed Jofra Archer's surgery, will operate

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who is out of Team India due to a back injury, will go to New Zealand to undergo surgery. The BCCI medical team and the National Cricket Academy (NCA) are in touch with the doctor who performed Jofra Archer's surgery. Soon Bumrah can go to Auckland to undergo surgery.

 

There, surgeon Rowan Schouten will operate on Bumrah's back. Schouten has also worked with chief surgeon Graham Inglis of Orthopaedics. Inglis had operated on some New Zealand players including Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond. Along with this, Shouten has also helped English in the surgery of Australian fast bowler James Pattinson. At the same time, apart from Southton Archer, Jason Behrendorff has also undergone back surgery.

 

Bumrah was ruled out of the team in September last year due to injury. After that, he had to leave the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. Jaspreet played the last match against Australia on 25 September in Hyderabad.

 

Doubt playing WTC final

There is doubt over Bumrah's playing in case India reaches the final of the World Test Championship (WTC). The WTC final is to be held in England in July. In such a situation, the Indian team management does not want to take any risk on his injury. He can return in the ODI World Cup to be held in October-November.

According to the report, Bumrah can now make a comeback in the ODI World Cup to be held later this year. According to reports, the BCCI and the team management have set a target of getting Bumrah back in the ODI World Cup this year. The ODI World Cup is to be held in India in October-November this year.

 

Bumrah is rehabbing in NCA

Bumrah plays for Mumbai Indians in IPL. He is currently undergoing the process of rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He has also been practicing bowling there for some time. In such a situation, it was expected that he could be seen playing in the last 2 matches of the Test series against Australia, but the selectors did not include him in the team without taking any risk based on his fitness. After that, it was expected that he could make a comeback from the IPL to be held in March-April, but now the news is coming that it may take time for him to get fit.
