Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute cards of 57 lakh such properties through virtual medium on 27 December.
He will also interact with some beneficiaries of the scheme. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has made cards of 57 lakh properties of 46,351 villages of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh including Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh under the ownership scheme.
PM Modi will also address the countrymen.
Along with distributing them through virtual mediums, Prime Minister Modi will interact with some beneficiaries about the scheme to know their experiences. Along with this, the PM will also address the countrymen.
It is worth mentioning that this scheme was started with the objective that the disputes over property in the villages should be reduced as much as possible and after accurate evaluation and documentation of the property of the village, if required, the villagers can also take a loan from the bank. Apart from this, the government is also thinking of making better Gram Panchayat development plans, etc. based on a drone survey of the entire village.
