He had left for London two days ago. Lalu Yadav himself is currently at the residence of his elder daughter and Rajya Sabha member Misa Bharti in Delhi. It is being told that apart from Patna, this raid is also going on in Gopalganj, Delhi, and Bhopal of Bihar.
Didn't even sleep, and CBI knocked
CBI raids are going on at the residence of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi at 10, Circular Road in Patna. When the CBI officers reached here in the morning, the people of the house were not even able to wake up properly. CBI officers closed the doors as soon as they entered Rabri Devi's residence. After this, neither anyone was allowed to go from inside to outside nor anyone from outside. A CBI officer reached Rabri Devi's residence about an hour after the raid started. At least three vehicles carrying CBI officers have been parked outside Rabri Devi's residence, including a Jharkhand number vehicle. Even after this, some officers kept coming here.
Lawyers and supporters continue to come
As soon as the news of the raid at Rabri Devi's residence, Lalu supporters and RJD leaders, and MLAs started coming there. Barricading is being done because of the increasing crowd here. Police have been deployed inside and outside the house. It is being told that two lawyers of Lalu Yadav have also reached the spot.
Supporters of Tej Pratap Yadav are shouting slogans
The supporters of Tej Pratap Yadav, gathered outside Rabri Devi's residence, are raising the slogan of Stop Action. Here, Lalu supporters, who reached Rabri residence, say that this is a very old matter and such action is being taken only to harass it. RJD supporters say that the CBI has no evidence in this case.
Lalu Yadav was railway minister for five years
Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009 in the United Progressive Alliance government. During this, he was accused of being involved in various scams. CBI is already probing these cases. Raids have already taken place in these cases.
RJD MLA surrounded the government
Mukesh Roshan, a close aide of Tejashwi Yadav and RJD MLA from Mahua, said that this is being done with the intention of disturbing. He said that what happened in the Muzaffarpur girl child case and Srijan scam? Why is action being taken against those who have been out of power for many years?
Might also tighten the screws on Misa Bharti
According to the information received so far, along with Patna, raids have also been conducted in Delhi and Gopalganj. It is being told that during the tenure of Lalu's Railway Minister, a new case of corruption has been registered regarding irregularities in recruitment.
