Giving information about his upcoming biopic, Sourav Ganguly said, "According to what I have heard, Rajkumar Rao will play this role (the lead role)... but there is an issue of dates... so it may take more than a year to come on screen." Due to the long dragging of the film, there may be some disappointment among his fans.

 

Rajkumar Rao will play the character of 'Dada'

 

Actor Rajkumar Rao's name was already associated with this project. Now Sourav Ganguly himself has confirmed it. Rajkumar Rao has given a superhit film like 'Stree 2' last year. He has many more films in the pipeline. Recently, the teaser of his upcoming film 'Bhool Chook Maaf' has also been released. According to reports, the production of this biopic was announced in the year 2021.

According to media reports, before Rajkumar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Ranbir Kapoor were approached for this biopic of Sourav Ganguly. It is said that Ayushmann Khurrana was contacted first. He had also signed the film, but then he dropped out of it. After this, Ranbir Kapoor's name started getting associated with it. Now Rajkumar Rao's name has come to the fore.
