The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a step toward making children digital citizens. The board is going to start a skill module on digital citizenship to protect the children of classes VI to VIII from the dangers of online technology.
Its curriculum covers digital etiquette, cyber security, cyberbullying, and internet usage. The curriculum is designed in such a way that teachers of all subjects can easily understand and train the students to be responsible digital citizens.
CBSE says that in today's world students are getting exposed to online technology at an early age. Due to Corona, online studies have taken place for two years, so the digital world is the need of the hour. For this, the board also took feedback from teachers and found that students needed help to explore the online world safely.
There is a need to empower the youth to become responsible and secure digital citizens. So that they can learn to use technology safely. An online orientation session will be organized on June 14 to explain to the principals and teachers of the schools.
