China Covid: Chinese government on backfoot after protests, people are angry against zero covid policy in Corona rules in China. Demonstrations are taking place on the street, due to which the Chinese government has come on the back foot. According to the information, citizens in China have now been relaxed from the rules of quarantine and lockdown.
The Chinese government says that now citizens have been allowed to remain quarantined at their homes. It has been said that people who have mild or no symptoms can stay at home and get their treatment done. Apart from this, the compulsion of PCR tests in public places has also been abolished. PCR tests will be mandatory only in schools and hospitals. These changes in China's strict corona rules have happened after demonstrations in many cities.
Steps are taken from a zero-covid policy
The relaxation given in the Corona rules in China means that the Jinping government is taking a step back from its zero covid policy. Now the people here will have to live with the virus, as other countries of the world are doing. These steps are being taken in China when more than 30 thousand cases are being reported daily in the country.
Relief in zero covid policy
The Chinese government says that most of the infected will now be able to remain isolated at homes instead of government Covid centers.
Patients with mild or no symptoms can stay at home and report themselves as infected.
PCR tests are mandatory for most public places except hospitals and schools.
Now lockdown will be implemented in limited areas. Like some buildings, some units, and some floors. The earlier lockdown was done in the entire city or surrounding areas.
It has been said in the new lockdown guideline that if no new cases are found in high-risk areas for five days, then they should be opened.
If the infected are not found on a large scale in the school, then they should be opened.
Emergency doors of buildings should be opened and emergency medical services should be provided in hospitals.
Strict quarantine rules were opposed
Until now, Covid-infected people and close contacts in China were forced to go to quarantine camps. This policy of China was causing protests due to its harshness, as it forced people to leave their homes. Recently a video went viral, in which guards were seen dragging a man out of a house. During this, the person strongly opposes the guards.
Last week, there were nationwide protests against China's draconian Covid policy. During this, there was a violent clash in Apple's plant. It was time to shut down the plant. The infected are forced to leave their homes and families and stay in quarantine camps for weeks. For this reason, this policy was becoming very unpopular.
