Hardik Pandya broke Yuvraj Singh's record with a blistering fifty, and later grabbed headlines by hugging a cameraman after the match.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya unleashed a powerful performance in the 5th T20 match against South Africa. Hardik scored a half-century off just 16 balls. He batted at a strike rate of 252.00 and smashed 63 runs off 25 balls. In his destructive innings, Hardik hit 5 fours and 5 sixes. Not only that, but he also took one wicket, conceding 41 runs in 3 overs.

Broke Yuvraj's Record

Hardik has become the second-fastest Indian batsman to score a half-century in T20 Internationals. Yuvraj Singh tops this list, having scored a fifty off 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

However, Pandya has broken another record of Yuvraj. He has become the Indian player with the most instances of scoring more than 50 runs and taking one or more wickets in T20 Internationals. Pandya has achieved this feat 4 times so far, while Yuvraj did it 3 times in his career.

Hardik Pandya Shines

Hardik Pandya shone not only on the field but also off the field. During the match, a six hit by Hardik injured a cameraman standing beyond the boundary line. The kind-hearted Hardik immediately went to the cameraman after the match and inquired about his well-being. He even hugged the cameraman and applied an ice pack to his shoulder. The BCCI shared a video of this entire incident on X (formerly Twitter).
