China was, is, and will be our most trusted friend, said Pak leader after meeting Chinese Foreign Minister

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a meeting with the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday. After the meeting with Wang Yi, Qureshi said that China was and will remain a close ally of Pakistan. Qureshi arrived in China on Tuesday to attend the third round of talks between the foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries.

 

According to the report of The Dawn.com. In a video message after a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Qureshi said China had promised to strengthen Pakistan's regional and strategic importance. "I am extremely pleased to report that the Chinese Finance Minister has approved the rollover of commercial loans," he said. China is giving another $4.2 billion loan to Pakistan. The loan will be released soon.

 

Assurance to combat diesel shortage

 

After getting more loans to the already indebted Pakistan, there is hope that it can overcome the financial crisis. Regarding the loan, Qureshi said that all the formalities are being completed by the concerned authorities, an announcement will be made as soon as they are completed. He said that China has also assured to help the country to combat the international shortage of diesel.

 

Assurance to support One China Policy

 

At the same time, a statement issued by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that Qureshi has assured Pakistan's support for the One China Policy and core Chinese interests. The two foreign ministers agreed that the quality development of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and bilateral cooperation in areas such as industry, agriculture, and information technology are the aims of their multi-faceted partnership.
