New Delhi: Commander level discussion between India and Chinese troops will be held on June 6 tomorrow at around 8 am. However, it will also depend on the weather. If the weather is good, then only this meeting will take place. About 10 people from India will participate in this discussion. This meeting is to be held in Moldo on the border of China.
Tomorrow, on June 6, there will be a discussion on the Corps Commander level between India and China. The commander of the 14th Corps at Leh will discuss with a Chinese officer of equal status. Earlier, no solution was found in the Brigadier level talks between India and the Chinese Army. For the last one month, the armies of the two countries have been face to face along the banks of Pangang Lake in Ladakh. For the first time since the 73-day tensions between the two countries in Doklam in 2017, there has been a military standoff on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) for so long.
Sources say that India's position is very clear on two things and it cannot be compromised in any way. First, the infrastructure work on the LAC will not be stopped or slowed down and secondly, China will no longer be allowed to proceed at any cost. Galvan Valley is bordered by the outskirts of Aksai Chin in eastern Ladakh.
The Galvan River originates from the eastern part of Karakoram and flows into the plains of Aksai Chin and then meets Shyok. India has opened the Durbuk-Shyok-Daulat Beg Oldi or DS-DBO road reaching the Daulat Beg Oldi area, the farthest area of Ladakh last year. This has made sending troops and equipment to Daulat Beg Oldi very easy.
If China comes forward in Galvan Valley then this road will be in danger and it will be easy for China to cut Daulat Beg Oldi. India has also made it clear that it is willing to resolve the border dispute with China. Negotiations are going on at several levels for this, but China is not ready to give up its expansionary policy yet. Apart from the army, discussions are going on at the diplomatic level too, but so far no solution has been found.
