The rising prices of petrol and diesel for the past few days put a brake on Thursday, but the price of CNG did not stop rising. On Thursday, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) increased the price of CNG by Rs 2.5. IGL has now increased the price of CNG in Delhi by Rs 2.5 per kg to Rs 69.11 per kg. At the same time, the price of CNG has been reduced to Rs 71.67 per kg in Ghaziabad, Noida, and Greater Noida. The price has gone up to Rs 77.44 per kg in Gurugram.

Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Shamli - Rs 76.34 per kg

Rewari - Rs 79.57 per kg

Karnal and Kaithal - Rs 77.77 per kg

Kanpur, Hamirpur and Fatehpur – Rs 80.90 per kg

Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand - Rs 79.38 per kg

Where is CNG cheap, and where is it expensive?

 

If you pay attention, the cheapest CNG in these cities is in Delhi while the most expensive CNG is in Kanpur, Hamirpur, and Fatehpur. Let us inform you that earlier on Wednesday also the prices of CNG were increased by Rs 2.5. The prices were hiked earlier this month as well. In such a situation, in March, the price of CNG has increased by a total of Rs 9.1. Prices vary from city to city based on local taxes such as VAT.

 

Natural gas is compressed to make CNG

 

Let us tell you that natural gas, after being compressed, becomes CNG used as a fuel in automobiles. The same gas is also supplied to domestic kitchens and industries for cooking and other purposes.

 

This increase in CNG prices is being seen at a time when petrol and diesel prices have seen an increase of about Rs 10 per liter in the last few days.
