In the ongoing CAP-26 Climate Summit in Glasgow, PM Modi said that the launch of 'Infrastructure for Resilient Island States' gives new hope, gives new confidence. It gives the satisfaction of doing something for the most vulnerable countries. I congratulate the Coalition for Disaster Resistance Infrastructure for this. To this important forum, I welcome the leaders of all partner countries, including Australia and the UK, and in particular the small island groups, including Mauritius and Jamaica.

PM Modi said that India's space agency ISRO will create a special data window for SIDS. With this, SIDS will get timely information about cyclones, coral-reef monitoring, coast-line monitoring, etc. through satellite.

Also, PM Modi said that I consider the launch of IRIS (Infrastructure for the Resilient Island States) very important. Through IRIS, it will be easy for SIDS to mobilize technology, financial support, necessary information faster. The promotion of quality infrastructure in Small Island Developing States will benefit both life and livelihood there.
