Coronavirus is Back in Schools: Amidst the rising fresh cases of corona infection in various states, the Jharkhand government has issued instructions to take precautions and increase strictness in the schools of the state. According to the latest instructions issued by the government, morning mass prayer meetings, cultural programs, and other sports activities have been banned in the schools of the state.
Officials of the Jharkhand School Education and Literacy Department said on Monday that this decision has been taken because of the increasing cases of the global infectious epidemic Kovid-19 in some states of the country.
Instructions for regular health check-ups and accidental corona check-ups
In this regard, the State Department of School Education and Literacy has issued new COVID-19 guidelines for schools in Jharkhand. As per the new guideline, schools have been asked to regularly conduct health check-ups in coordination with the nearest health centers.
The district administration has been directed to ensure random COVID-19 tests of students and teachers. Also, in an official notification, it has been said that morning prayer meetings, cultural programs, and sports activities will remain suspended in all schools.
Increasing cases of Kovid-19 are worrying
In a letter to all the Deputy Commissioners, District Education Officers, and District Education Superintendents, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Jharkhand, has asked them to follow the COVID-19 guidelines to prevent the spread of Corona pandemic.
The secretary has also expressed concern over the increasing cases in other states. Sharma said that many states of the country are witnessing an increase in the cases of corona infection for the last 15 days, which is worrying. Therefore, it is very important to take preventive steps from now on in such times.
School premises will have to be sanitized
Schools will have to regularly sanitize the main campus, classrooms, laboratories, and library before starting.
At the same time, the entire school premises will have to be cleaned and sanitized at least once in 15 days.
The protocol of masks and social distancing will have to be followed.
A double dose of the Covid vaccine will be ensured for all teaching and non-teaching staff.
Arrangements should be ensured for the vaccination of adolescent students i.e. students in the age group of 12 to 18 years.
