Corona in the country: 1.67 lakh cases in 24 hours, less than 2 lakh after 20 days; 1,192 deaths, positivity rate down by 4.08%

On Monday, 1.67 lakh cases were reported in the country. During this 2.54 lakh, people were also cured, while 1,192 people have died. A day before this, 2,09,918 people were found infected on Sunday. Compared to the previous day, 44,158 fewer infected have been found, that is, a decrease of 25.65% has been seen in new cases.

 

Less than 2 lakh new cases have been found 10 days after the peak of the third wave. During the increase in cases before the peak, 1.94 lakh cases were found on January 11, i.e. after 20 days less than 2 lakh new cases were found. On January 20, a maximum number of 3.47 lakh new cases were found. Since January 20, there has been a steady decline in the corona case. 2.09 lakh new cases were found on Sunday and 2.34 lakh on Saturday.

 

The positivity rate was recorded at 11.69% on Monday. Earlier on Sunday, the positivity rate was 15.77%. The positivity rate has come down by 4.08%. At present, the total number of active cases in the country, that is, the number of patients undergoing treatment is 17.43 lakh. The number of active cases has decreased by about 87,414 as compared to the previous day. The total cases have crossed 4.14 crores.

 

According to the Health Ministry, out of 1,192 deaths recorded in the country, 638 deaths have occurred in Kerala during the last days, whose figures have just been added.

1. Kerala: More than 60 lakh infected

On Monday, 42,154 new infected have been found here, while 38,458 patients have been cured and 91 people died. A day before this, 51,570 new infections were found on Sunday and 101 people died. On Monday, 3,696 fewer new cases were found compared to Sunday.

 

Since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of 60.25 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 56.12 lakh people have been cured, while 54,395 people died. Here the positivity rate is 49.89%, before Sunday the positivity rate was 49.89%.

 

2. Karnataka: Cases decreased as compared to the previous day; deaths increased

On Monday, 24,172 new cases were found in Karnataka, while 38,998 people defeated Corona. During this 56 people died. A day before this, 28,264 new cases were found on Sunday and 68 people died.

 

So far, a total of 38.09 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 35.26 lakh people have been cured, while 38,998 people have died. At present, the number of patients undergoing treatment here is 2.44 lakh, while the positivity rate is 17.11%, which was 16.39% a day ago.

 

3. Tamil Nadu: Positivity rate down to 14.78%

On Monday, 19,280 new cases were reported here. 25,056 people were cured and 20 people died. Earlier on Sunday, 22,238 new cases were reported and 38 people died.

 

So far, a total of 33.45 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 31.09 lakh people have been cured, while 37,564 people have died. Here the active case is 2.03 lakh and the positivity rate is 14.78%. The day before this, the positivity rate was 16.24%.

 

4. Maharashtra: About 20 thousand patients were cured in a day

In Maharashtra, 15,140 new cases of the corona were found in the last 24 hours. During this 39 people died and 35,453 patients were cured. A day before this, 22,444 new cases were found and 50 people died. Now the total active cases in the state have come down to 2.07 lakh.

 

So far, a total of 77.21 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 73.67 lakh people have been cured, while 1.42 lakh people died. The positivity rate is 11.94%, up from 13.28% on Sunday the day before.

 

5. Madhya Pradesh: Slight drop in positivity rate

In Madhya Pradesh, 8.062 cases were reported in the last 24 hours and 10,748 people were cured. During this 9 people died. A day before this, i.e. on Sunday, 9,305 cases were reported and 2 people died.

 

So far, more than 9.67 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.96 lakh people have been cured, while 10,748 people died. 60,609 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 10.81% which was 11.50% a day ago.

1. Andhra Pradesh: Positivity rate reduced by 3%

In Andhra, 5,879 new cases were reported here in the last 24 hours, while 11,384 people were cured and 9 people died. Earlier on Sunday, 10,310 new cases were reported and 12 people died. So far 22.76 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 21.51 lakh people have been cured, while 14,615 people have died. Active cases are 1.10 lakh. The positivity rate has come down from 26.24% to 23.25%.

 

2. Rajasthan: 23 people died in 24 hours

On Monday, 6,369 cases were reported here, while 9268 people were cured and 23 people died. Earlier on Sunday, 10,061 new cases were reported and 21 people died. So far 12.06 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 11.30 lakh people have been cured, while 9,268 people died. There are 67 thousand active cases here.

 

3. Gujarat: 11.60 lakh people are in the grip of infection so far

On Monday, 6,679 new cases were found in Gujarat. In the state, 14,171 people defeated Corona, while 35 people died. A day before this, on Sunday, 9,395 new cases were found and 30 people died. So far 11.60 lakh people have come under the grip of the virus. The death toll due to Corona has reached 10,473.

 

4. Uttar Pradesh: Positivity rate down to 3.44%

There were 6,226 new corona cases in the last 24 hours. 6,946 people were cured and 18 people died. Earlier on Sunday, 8,079 new corona cases came and 26 people died. So far, 20.19 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 19.41 lakh people have been cured, while 23,207 people died. 54,836 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state. The positivity rate here is 3.44%. The day before this, the positivity rate was 3.99%.

 

5. Odisha: 18 people died in 24 hours

In Odisha, 3,329 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. During this 8,181 people were cured and 18 people died. A day before this, 4,843 new cases were registered and 19 people died. So far 12.49 lakh people of the state have come under the grip of infection. At the same time, the death toll has reached 8,612. The total number of active patients in the state is 39,029. The positivity rate is 5.87%. The day before this, the positivity rate was 7.70%.

 

6. Chhattisgarh: Positivity Rate 7.36%

In Chhattisgarh, 2,693 cases were registered in the last 24 hours. During this, 4,871 people were cured and 19 people died. So far 11.25 lakh people of the state have come under the grip of infection. At the same time, the death toll has reached 4,871. The total number of active patients in the state is 23,527. The positivity rate is 7.36%.

 

7. Haryana: 19 people died

In the last 24 hours, 3,563 people were found infected in the state. 6,791 people have been cured and 19 people have died. Here on Sunday, 3,918 people were found infected and 17 people died. So far, more than 9.49 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.13 lakh people have been cured, while 10,305 people died. A total of 25,567 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate was 11.19% a day ago which is now 13.36%.

 

8. Delhi: Positivity rate continues to decline

On Sunday, 2,779 new corona cases were reported in Delhi and 38 people died. 5,502 people have been cured. A day before this, 3,674 new corona cases were reported on Sunday and 30 people died. So far, more than 18.30 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.85 lakh have been cured while 25,865 died. The positivity rate in Delhi was 30% on January 15, which has come down to 6.20% on Monday.

 

9. West Bengal: More than 7 thousand patients have been cured

On Monday, 1,910 new cases have been found in West Bengal. During this, 7,727 patients were cured, while 36 people have died. On Sunday, 3,427 cases were found and 33 people died. A total of 19.95 lakh cases have been found in the state so far, while 19.49 lakh people have been cured. A total of 20,619 people have died. The active case is 25,709. There has been a decrease of 5,853 inactive cases on the last day. The positivity rate here is 5.49%.

 

10. Punjab: 8.48% Positivity Rate in the State

In Punjab, 2,347 new infections have been found on the last day and 39 people have died. 5,475 people have also recovered from the infection. A day before this, 2,780 were found infected on Sunday and 24 people had died.

So far 7.43 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.02 lakh people have been cured, while 17,253 people died. Active cases are 23,626. The positivity rate in the state is 8.48%.
