Meanwhile, the total number of active cases in the country has crossed 11 lakh after 7 months. On June 9, a total of 11 lakh 67 thousand 952 active cases were registered in the country during the second wave of cases.

1. Maharashtra

During the last 24 hours, 32 deaths have also been recorded, while 28,041 people have also recovered. The total active cases in the state have increased to 2.40 lakh. So far 70.34 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 66.49 lakh people have been cured, while 1.42 lakh people died. The positivity rate in the state has again increased from 16% to 22%.
On the other hand, after decreasing for four days in Mumbai too, new cases started increasing again on Wednesday. 16,420 new cases were found here on Wednesday, which is more than the 11,467 corona patients found on Tuesday. 14,649 people recovered in the metropolis, while 7 people died.
2. West Bengal
On Wednesday, 22,155 new cases have been found in West Bengal. In Bengal, 8117 patients have been cured during this period, while 23 people have died. However, the positivity rate of the state is continuously decreasing. The positivity rate decreased from 37% on Monday to 32% on Tuesday, which remained at 31% on Wednesday. 3. Delhi
Wednesday was a scary day in Delhi in terms of the Coronavirus. On Wednesday, 27,561 new cases were found in the National Capital, which is the second-biggest increase in daily cases during the third wave in 24 hours since April-2021. The capital has also recorded 40 deaths. Now 97 people have died here during the last four days.

4. Tamil Nadu
Here on Wednesday, 17,934 new cases were reported during 24 hours, while 4039 patients were cured and 19 people died. So far, more than 28.47 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 27.21 lakh people have been cured, while 36,905 people died. There are 88,959 active cases here. The positivity rate in Tamil Nadu has increased to 11%.
5. Karnataka
On Wednesday, 21,390 people were found infected here, which is about 7 thousand more than Tuesday. On Wednesday, 1541 people were cured and 10 people died.
