The delivery of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin has also started a day after CoviShield of Serum Institute. The first consignment of Covaxin was flown by Air India flight from Hyderabad to Delhi at 6.40 am on Wednesday. Apart from Delhi, its first shipment has reached 11 cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Patna, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ranchi, Kurukshetra, Kochi.

 

The country's largest vaccination program will start in the country from January 16. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start it virtually. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also launch a Co-Win app related to vaccination.

 

Jaipur: Covaxin arrives, CoviShield will arrive in the evening

60 thousand doses of Covaxin from the Air Asia flight reached Jaipur at 11 am. They were brought directly from the airport to the State Drug Store at Adarsh ​​Nagar. Covshield's dose is also expected to reach Jaipur airport at around 5 pm today.

 

Ranchi: 16 thousand 200 violins of Covaxin reached

The first consignment of Covaxin reached Ranchi Airport by special aircraft at 9.02 am on Wednesday. From here they were taken to the State Ware House in Namkum. The 11 km distance from the airport to the warehouse was covered in 32 minutes. In the first batch, Jharkhand has received 16 thousand 200 vials (vials).

 

Surat: Covishield's second shipment reached

The second consignment of CoviShield reached Surat from Bye Road Pune on Wednesday morning. It has 93 thousand 500 doses. They are stored in the Civil Hospital of Surat. Ministers and officials welcomed it as soon as the truck filled with the vaccine arrived in the city. Earlier, the first consignment of Coveshield reached Ahmedabad on Tuesday morning.

 

Bhopal: 94 thousand doses of Covishield reached

94 thousand doses of Covishield reached Bhopal at 11 am. From here the vaccine will be sent to 24 districts of Madhya Pradesh. The serum institute started supplying Covishield on Tuesday. It arrived on Wednesday in many cities.

 

Karnal: 4 lakh doses reached

The first batch of vaccine arrived here late at night. Four lakh doses of Covishield have been sent in it. They were kept in the Ware House of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Karnal.

 

Chandigarh: Everyone will get free vaccine in Punjab

Covishield's first batch reached Chandigarh late at night. They are housed in the State Vaccine Store in Sector 24. From here they were sent to Mohali, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, and Ferozepur at night. 20 thousand 450 vials have been sent in this consignment. There are 10 doses in every violin. The state government has announced to install the vaccine for free here.

 

Mumbai: Vaccine Worshiped

The first consignment of the CoviShield vaccine sent from the Serum Institute of India in Pune arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday. There are 1.39 lakh doses in this consignment. Here the officers of the corporation worshiped the vaccine. They are housed in the F-South ward office in Parel. From here they will be transported to different parts of the city.

 

Delhi: Kejriwal's demand - Center give vaccine for free

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the central government should provide the vaccine free of cost to all states and union territories. Even if this is not done, we will do vaccination for free in Delhi.

 

Government orders 5.5 million doses of covaxin

The drug regulator has approved emergency use of Covaxin and Covishield. According to the Health Ministry, the government has ordered 55 lakh doses of Covaxin and 1.1 million doses of Covishield.

 

India will give 16.5 lakh dose free to biotech government

Bharat Biotech is developing the Corona vaccine in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The company will give 16.5 lakh doses free of cost to the government, Rs 295 will be charged for every dose of the remaining 38.5 lakh vaccines.

 

On the other hand, Serum Institute of India (SII) CEO Adar Poonawala said on Tuesday that 10 crore doses of CoviShield will be given to the government at a special rate of Rs 200, while the price of the vaccine in the market will be Rs 1000.

 

Coverage of both Covsheild's doses was 70%

Covishield is formed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University. SII Serum Institute of India is producing Coveshield in India. When its half dose was given, the efficiency remained at 90%. A month later Iffiksey was 62% in full dose. The average efficiency in both types of doses was 70%. Five million doses of Covishield are ready.

 

The results of Covaxin's Phase-3 trials have not been reported yet. According to the results of Phase-2 trials, antibodies made in the body due to covaxin will last for six to twelve months. 20 million doses of covaxin are ready.
