Amid apprehensions of a new wave of Corona in the country, 11 sub-variants of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 have been found in travelers from abroad. Samples of 19,227 international passengers were tested between December 24 and January 3. Of these, 124 were found to be Covid positive.

Government sources said that out of 124 positive infected, the results of genome sequencing of 40 have come. Of these, a maximum of 14 samples of Omicron's XBB.1 substrain were found.
