Health Ministry's Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said, "62 thousand 480 new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. For the last 11 days, less than one lakh cases are being reported. In the peak of corona infection cases, 85 percent of the cases have been reported. There has been a shortage." He said that the number of active cases has come down to 7 lakh 98 thousand 656 in the last 24 hours. In the last 3 days, there has been a decrease of 1 lakh 14,000 inactive cases. Now the recovery rate has increased to 96 percent. We are doing 18.4 lakh corona tests every day.
How is the pace of vaccination in the country?
According to the Health Ministry's data on Thursday, more than 26.86 crore doses of anti-coronavirus vaccine have been given in the country, including 50 million doses given to people in the age group of 18-44.
The ministry said that on Thursday, 18 lakh 94 thousand 803 beneficiaries in the age group of 18-44 were given the first dose, while 88 thousand 17 got the second dose. Since the start of the third phase of the vaccination campaign across the country, a total of 4 crores 93 lakh 56 thousand 276 people of the above age group have been given the first dose and 10 lakh 58 thousand 514 have been given the second dose.
Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal each vaccinated over 10 lakh beneficiaries in the age group of 18-44 The first dose is given.
According to the provisional report released till 7 pm on Thursday, the total number of doses of the Covid-19 vaccine given in the country increased to 26 crores 86 lakh 65 thousand 914.
The ministry said that on the 153rd day of the vaccination campaign, a total of 29 lakh 64 thousand 596 doses of vaccine were given. Out of this, 25 lakh 81 thousand 421 beneficiaries were given the first dose and 3 lakh 83 thousand 175 got the second dose.
