The Mumbai Crime Branch has now made significant revelations regarding the shooting incident at the home of renowned Bollywood producer-director Rohit Shetty. The Crime Branch has clarified that Rohit Shetty was the intended target of the shooters. Furthermore, the Crime Branch has clarified the connection between the accused arms supplier and the Bishnoi gang. It has also revealed how the supplier supplied the weapons used in the shooting at Rohit Shetty's home.

This information was revealed in the investigation

While investigating the case, the Mumbai Crime Branch revealed that Asaram Fasle, the accused arms supplier in the shooting incident at Rohit Shetty's home, had been working as a garage mechanic for the Bishnoi gang for the past four years. He joined the gang under the influence of Shubham Lonkar, the alleged mastermind of the Baba Siddiqui murder case and the Rohit Shetty shooting case. The Crime Branch claims that Asaram Fasle, on Shubham Lonkar's instructions, supplied weapons to Swapnil Sakat, which were later used by the unidentified shooter in the shooting at Rohit Shetty's home.

Police are investigating where the weapons were obtained

On February 5th, the police arrested the accused Asaram Fasale. Of the four previously arrested accused, Asaram Fasale was directly identified with Swapnil Sakat, a connection established through Shubham Lonkar. The Crime Branch has also learned that some of Asaram's close associates were aware of his involvement with the gang. However, the police are now investigating who these individuals are and whether they have any direct connection to the Lawrence gang. Police are also investigating where Asaram obtained the weapons for this crime and how much money he received in exchange.

When did the attack take place?

On January 31st, at around 12:45 am, a firing occurred outside the home of film director Rohit Shetty in Mumbai's Juhu area.

According to the police, at least five rounds were fired, one of which struck the glass of the gym in the building.

Later, India Today shared a screenshot in its report, claiming that the Lawrence gang had claimed responsibility for the attack.

This screenshot is from a Facebook post by an account named Shubham Lonkar Arju Bishnoi.

The post claimed responsibility for the attack, threatening that this was just a trailer. If he didn't mend his ways, the next bullet would be fired inside his bedroom, in his chest.
