Cristiano Ronaldo's name is included among the greatest footballers in the world. This legendary footballer, who played for Portugal and Al Nasr, has made a special record on social media. He became the first person to touch the figure of one billion i.e. 100 crore followers on social media. Ronaldo's popularity on the social media platform has increased further thanks to his newly launched Instagram channel.

 

39-year-old Ronaldo created a YouTube account and within a week the number of his followers crossed the 50 million mark. He broke many records during this time. Ronaldo has more than 639 million i.e. 63.9 crore followers on Instagram, which is the largest part of his 100 crore followers on the social media platform. This former Manchester United and Real Madrid player have 170.5 million i.e. 17 crore followers on Facebook and 113 million i.e. 11 crore followers on 'X'. He also has some followers on Chinese platforms Weibo and Kuaishou.

 

The Portuguese football icon shared a note on social media and informed that he has crossed the one billion mark on the internet. He wrote, 'We have made history. 1 billion followers! It is not just a number, but more than that. It is part of our shared passion and love. From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stage in the world, I have always played for my family and you. Now we stand together on the one billion mark. You have been with me every step of the way, in all the ups and downs. This journey is our journey and we have shown that there is no limit to what we can achieve.'

 

Ronaldo wrote, 'Thank you for believing in me, for your support, and for being a part of my life. The best is yet to come and we will continue to win, win, and make history together.' Earlier, the star footballer of Portugal, who was not shortlisted for the Ballon d'Or, scored a record 900th career goal in the match against Croatia. The 39-year-old footballer celebrated achieving the milestone as if he had scored the first goal of his career. This was his 131st goal in Portugal's jersey. Ronaldo looked emotional while celebrating the goal. Half of his 900 goals have come for Real Madrid. Apart from international matches, he has scored the rest of the goals for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Juventus, and current club Al Nasr.
