Cyclone Yaa's severe cyclone Yas entered Jharkhand at 2 pm. After this, the state is receiving heavy rains. Hundreds of trees have been broken due to strong winds. Many slums and kutcha houses have collapsed. Apart from the capital Ranchi, the districts of East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, Bokaro, Khunti, and Ramgarh, etc. have also been affected by the storm. According to the Meteorological Center Ranchi, cyclonic storm Yas hit the neighboring areas of Jharkhand and Odisha at a speed of 75 kmph. During this period, life was disturbed due to strong winds and heavy rain for three hours.

 

Police transport family living in dilapidated kachcha house to shelter camp

 

Because of the magnitude of cyclone Yas, Simdega police transported four members of a family living in a dilapidated rag house in Odga Bazar Tand under Odga OP to the shelter camp for safety. The shelter camp is built on the high school campus in Odga. Here they are being provided all the necessary materials including food.

 

Vaccination of 23,110 people due to inclement weather

 

Due to bad weather in the state, only 23,110 people were vaccinated on Wednesday. Of these, 20,821 people were vaccinated for the first and 2,289 for the second dose. Vaccination in East Singhbhum and Simdega could not take place on Wednesday, while only 21 frontline workers were vaccinated in Seraikela Kharsawan. On Wednesday, 57 health care workers, 724 frontline workers, 16,628 youth in the age group of 18 to 44, and 3,412 citizens above 45 received the first dose of vaccine. At the same time, 43 health care workers, 222 frontline workers, and 2,024 citizens above 45 years of age were also vaccinated for the second dose.
