Arms race: North Korea again did hypersonic missile test, dictator Kim Jong Un himself was present; Know why this missile is dangerous

North Korea has claimed that it conducted a hypersonic missile test on Tuesday and it was successful. On Wednesday and Thursday last week in the new year, North Korea conducted two missile tests and even then claimed that these were hypersonic missile tests. There is also a claim that dictator Kim Jong Un himself was present during the hypersonic missile test.

look at the first claim

According to North Korea's official media KCNA, the missile tested on Tuesday hit the target 1000 kilometers away and took its first turn. A BBC report quoted experts as saying – Kim Jong Un's presence during the test proves that North Korea has achieved some success in acquiring this technology. On January 1, Kim also said that this year the country will further improve its security.

care about the world

6 countries including the US have expressed concern over North Korea's hypersonic missile test. South Korea did not give much attention to these tests at first but later said that North Korea has made some technical improvements. North Korea said – we have achieved great success. Our missile completed a 600 km glide jump flight. After this, it turned and completed a 240 km distance. North Korea began tests of hypersonic missiles in September 2021.

Which countries have hypersonic missiles now?

China tested one such missile last month. How successful was it though? Information about this was not revealed. It is believed that the US and Russia already have such missiles. India, France, and Germany are also working on this technology. Now North Korea is working fast on this and it is getting help from China from the backdoor.

How does this missile work?

The speed of a hypersonic missile is less than that of an intercontinental missile. One of their qualities makes them dangerous. Hypersonic missiles can change direction midway. Because of this, they can dodge the defense system ie radar. The power to fly at a very low altitude does not allow them to come under the radar of the enemy.

How is it different from a ballistic missile?

A launch vehicle takes the hypersonic missile into space. After this, the missile moves so fast that anti-missile systems cannot track it. Although ballistic missiles also run at hypersonic speed, when they are launched from a place, it is known where they will fall. Due to this, anti-missile systems can easily track them, because their direction cannot be changed after launch.

On the other hand, the hypersonic missile can be changed even after its launch. It is for these reasons that they do not come under the grip of anti-missile systems. That is, overall it can be said that if a country launches a hypersonic missile, then it will be very difficult to stop it.

Why no need to panic?

According to American Defense, Expert Dr. Laura Grego - Hypersonic missiles are not as dangerous as they are told. There is no doubt that their speed and distance are very high, but it is not correct to say that they cannot be tracked.

According to Laura - these missiles emit light and heat. The US and Russia have infrared satellite technology. It can detect it from the heat emanating from the missile. Secondly, their speed slows down a lot before reaching the target. Even then they can be detected and destroyed. Their path can be traced through infrared technology.
