Delhi Air Pollution: Delhi's air became 'very bad', AQI crossed 300 in these areas including Anand Vihar

The people of Delhi are having to breathe poisonous air. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality is not improving. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Delhi's average air quality index (AQI) went up to very poor category 318. According to the CPCB, there is no hope of relief in the coming two days.

 

The level of pollution in Delhi is reaching a very bad condition. On Tuesday, the worst situation was in the Anand Vihar area. AQI 382 was recorded here. This area has been very polluted for the past several days. The Delhi government has kept it in the hotspot areas. Special monitoring is being done here. 16 areas in Delhi have been kept in the red zone, the air quality here was found to be in very poor condition.

 

These areas are included in the red zone.

 

These include Alipur- 320, Anand Vihar- 377, Ashok Vihar- 343, Bawana- 348, Burari- 342, Dwarka Sector 8- 325, IGI Airport- 316, Jahangirpuri- 355, Mundka- 360, Najafgarh- 317, Narela- 322, Punjabi Bagh- 356, Rohini- 347, Shadipur- 359, Sonia Vihar- 338, Wazirpur- 351.

 

Grape-2 implemented

 

The pollution level in Delhi has reached a very bad category. In view of this, Grape-2 has been implemented from 8 am on Tuesday. There will be many types of restrictions under this. These include an increase in parking fees to reduce generators, and private vehicles, daily mechanical/vacuum sweeping, and sprinkling of water on the roads.

 

At the same time, inspection will be done to strictly implement dust control measures at C and D sites. Along with this, adequate personnel have been asked to be deployed in crowded places to ensure proper traffic movement. It has been said to give alerts through newspapers, radio, etc. to advise people about air pollution.
