During this operation, President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were apprehended in the capital, Caracas, and taken out of the country. Earlier, US President Donald Trump, in an interview with a news channel, had claimed that there were no American casualties in the operation, and only a few soldiers were injured. Trump described it as a very complex but successful operation and highly praised the US military.

Trump said, "It's truly remarkable that despite such a complex operation, there were no casualties on our side. The leadership and professionalism of the military were outstanding." He explained that the operation involved various types of fighter jets, helicopters, and other military resources and was executed with extreme precision. Later, during a press conference in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said that the US would now temporarily govern Venezuela until a safe and orderly transfer of power takes place.
