BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday referred to the stampede incident at Prayagraj Mahakumbh in Lok Sabha and said that the accident smells of conspiracy. After the investigation is completed, those responsible for this will have to bow their heads in shame.

Participating in the discussion on the motion of thanks on the President's address, the MP from Patna Sahib in Bihar said that so far 35 crore people have taken a holy bath in the Mahakumbh.

The truth will come out soon.

He said that the investigation of the tragedy that happened in the Mahakumbh is going on. The truth will come out soon. During this, the senior BJP leader surrounded the Congress over Sonia Gandhi's comment on President Draupadi Murmu and said that those who claim to save the Constitution should learn to respect the highest constitutional post. He also said that insulting the highest constitutional post has been the tradition of the Congress and is in its political DNA.

Targeted Congress

Three days ago, while reacting after the President's address, Sonia Gandhi had called Murmu 'poor'. Prasad said that Draupadi Murmu belongs to a simple family and is elevating the post of President with decency. He reminded Congress of the way it treated former presidents like Rajendra Prasad, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed and Giani Zail Singh and said that this is the tradition of Congress.

Accused opposition parties of insulting Sanatan

The BJP leader said that during the Congress government, India was included in the list of countries with the five weakest economies, but under the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's economy became very strong and became the fifth largest economy. He accused opposition parties of insulting Sanatan and said - 'Hindustan will not tolerate insult to Sanatan.'
