Odd-Even scheme is a sham, what is the benefit from it: Supreme Court
The Supreme Court on Tuesday also targeted the odd-even policy of the Delhi government to control air pollution and asked whether any assessment has been made as to how much pollution it reduces. The court called the plan a sham. Instead, on the suggestion of the amicus curiae, the court has also sought a response from the Delhi government on stopping diesel vehicles with orange stickers. The court has also suggested stopping the entry of taxis with outside numbers for a few days.
The court has ordered the Delhi government to monitor that garbage is not burnt in the open. These orders were given by the Supreme Court on Tuesday during the hearing on air pollution in Delhi. The Delhi government has announced to implementation of the odd-even scheme for vehicles in Delhi from November 13 after Diwali to improve the polluted air of the capital.

Advocate Aparajita Singh, who is assisting the court in the hearing of the case, said that color stickers have been issued in vehicles in Delhi.
