There was a stampede in the Sangam area of Prayagraj on Tuesday night. Many people were injured in this accident. Even though the situation in the Maha Kumbh is under control, the opposition is constantly questioning the preparations of the Yogi government. Many Congress leaders expressed concern over this incident.

VIP culture should end: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, "The news from Prayagraj is heartbreaking. He said, "Poor management and giving priority to VIP movement over common pilgrims is responsible for this tragic incident." He said that proper arrangements should be made to prevent such an incident from happening again.

Rahul Gandhi further said, "VIP (culture) culture should be stopped and better arrangements should be made for the pilgrims."

Kharge said - the government did not pay attention to management.

Meanwhile, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said, "Such an incident happened due to half-hearted preparations, VIP movement and focus on self-promotion instead of management. Despite spending thousands of crores of rupees, such preparations are condemnable."

He said, "The facilities for staying and first aid for pilgrims should be expanded and the movement of VIPs should be banned. Our saints also want this."

Akhilesh also raised questions about the preparations

Expressing concern over the stampede incident, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said, "After today's incident, the arrangements for the Maha Kumbh should be handed over to the army to restore the confidence of the devotees. He said, "The truth behind the claims of world-class arrangements has come to the fore. Therefore, those who were making such claims should take moral responsibility and resign."

How did the stampede happen?

Let us tell you that before the second Amrit Snan festival of Maha Kumbh, Mauni Amavasya, a stampede broke out in the Sangam area of Prayagraj on Tuesday night. The crowd increased so much that people broke the barricades and climbed on the sleeping devotees. After the incident and the continuous increase in the crowd, the administration requested the Akharas to temporarily postpone their ritual bathing.
