On Wednesday, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) started the demolition of illegal constructions in Jahangirpuri. Within an hour, the Supreme Court stayed in the operation. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petition, which has opposed the demolition of the houses of the accused in the riots. The court said that the status quo should be maintained in Jahangirpuri till tomorrow's hearing.

Despite the order of the Supreme Court, the action of MCD in Jahangirpuri was going on in some places. When the petitioner informed the Supreme Court about this, CJI NV Ramana immediately ordered the registrar to convey our order to the MCD, Delhi Police, and the Mayor. After about two hours of the first order of the Supreme Court, the corporation's action was completely stopped.

When Delhi's Special Police Commissioner Deependra Pathak was asked about Operation Bulldozer, he had said that the Municipal Corporation would decide on the orders of the Supreme Court. We are here to provide protection and support to MCD.

Big Updates from Jahangirpuri...

CPIM leader Brinda Karat reached the spot and showed the Supreme Court order to Delhi Police Special Commissioner Deependra Pathak over the phone.

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi also questioned the role of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and said that BJP has declared war against the poor.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also objected to the action. He said that stop running bulldozers of hatred, the power plant should be started.

The Mayor of North MCD has justified the action to remove illegal encroachments. He said that whatever action is being taken, it is as per the rules. Encroachments are being removed from government lands.

The allegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind - the laxity of the police became the reason for the riots

A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) met the Muslim community in the aftermath of the Jahangirpuri violence on Tuesday. JIH has cited the laxity of the Delhi Police as the reason for the violence.

Said it was a pre-planned conspiracy. The procession had been taken out twice before the violence. Nevertheless, the third procession was taken out just at the time of Iftar and Namaz. These processions were taken out without the permission of the police. The people involved in the procession were raising provocative slogans. Some people were displaying weapons. While Delhi Police was missing, if the police force had been present on the spot, there would have been no violence.

Delhi Police have arrested the person who gave a pistol to an accused during the Jahangirpuri violence. Police said that it has been identified as Gulli. Earlier, Rasuka has been imposed on 5 accused arrested in the violence case. These include Ansar, Salim, Sonu, Dilshad, and Ahir. Now the involvement of the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) in the riots will also be investigated.
