Preparations for action against Pakistan? NSA Ajit Doval met PM Modi for the second time in 24 hours

Tensions between India and Pakistan continue after the attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, NSA Ajit Doval reached to meet PM Modi.

 

This meeting took place at the Prime Minister's residence.

 

The central government is busy preparing a strategy for decisive action against terrorism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been holding a series of high-level meetings since this attack. This is the second time in the last 24 hours that the Prime Minister met Ajit Doval. This meeting took place a day before the state governments organized mock drills.

 

High-level meetings have continued since the Pahalgam attack.

 

In the last few days, Narendra Modi has held several high-level meetings with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, NSA Doval, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and the chiefs of the Army, Navy and Air Force, which has intensified the discussion of military action against the Lashkar terrorist group.

 

Last week, the Prime Minister met Doval and General Chauhan and gave the armed forces 'complete freedom to decide on the method, goal and timing' of India's military response.

 

Union Home Secretary's meeting on mock drill ends

 

Mock drills are being organized across the country on May 7 for effective civil security. In this regard, a meeting called by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan in Delhi concluded. The last time such a drill was organized was in 1971, the year there was a war between India and Pakistan.

Terrorists attacked Pahalgam on April 22. 26 people were killed in this attack. Most of them were tourists. This was the most horrific terrorist incident in India after the 2019 Pulwama attack, in which 40 soldiers were killed.
