Aurangzeb's tomb in Sambhajinagar district of Maharashtra is in danger. Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have intensified the demand to remove Aurangzeb's tomb.

Hindu organizations have threatened that if the government fails to take action, they will do 'Kar Seva'. Amidst these threats, the police have issued an alert in the city.

Heavy force has been deployed outside the tomb.

Bajrang Dal and VHP say that Aurangzeb's tomb located in Khuldabad of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar is a divisive symbol, and it promotes communal discord. Both groups have planned protests outside the Tehsildar and District Collector offices across Maharashtra demanding its removal.

Politics intensifies over the tomb.

There is also a lot of political rhetoric about Aurangzeb's tomb. Many leaders have said that Aurangzeb's tomb should be demolished. There is no place for it on the soil of Maharashtra.

BJP accuses Uddhav faction

BJP MLA Ram Kadam accused the previous Uddhav Thackeray-led government of allowing people to glorify Aurangzeb. Kadam said that some people in Maharashtra are praising the invader Aurangzeb and all this started during Uddhav Thackeray's tenure.

Allegations of direct entry to the tomb

The police fear that if the crowd reaches Aurangzeb's tomb, the situation may worsen. Let us tell you that the police-administration has banned direct entry to the tomb. Direct entry to the tomb is prohibited till further orders. Let us tell you that this tomb is located in Khultabad, about 30 km from Sambhajinagar city.
