Delhi-NCR Weather: Darkness prevailed in the sky, heavy rain brought relief; speed of vehicles slowed down

The weather in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas remains pleasant. The sky has been cloudy since morning. In many areas, there is drizzle along with heavy rain. People have gotten relief from the rain in many areas of Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. Due to this, the maximum temperature can be recorded at 34 and the minimum temperature at 26 degrees Celsius.

 

Here, according to the Meteorological Department, the Lodhi Road area was the hottest. The maximum temperature recorded here was 33.8 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was 33.6 in Ridge, 32.8 in Aya Nagar, and 32.5 degrees Celsius in Palam. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 20.4 degrees Celsius in Ridge. Due to rain, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 97 on Wednesday, which is a satisfactory category. Noida had the lowest AQI of 76 in NCR.

 

Alleys and streets submerged in Delhi.

Due to heavy rain in the capital on Wednesday morning, roads and streets were submerged. Vehicles were seen crawling on the roads since morning. The most trouble was faced by children going to school and people going to work during peak hours. The situation was such that many vehicles broke down and many got stuck in potholes.

 

The areas around Ring Road, Connaught Place, Karol Bagh, Patel Nagar, Mayapuri, Dwarka, Dhaula Kuan, Safdarjung, Ashram, Bhogal, Turkman Gate, Nai Sadak, Jama Masjid, Pragati Maidan, ITO, DTC headquarters remained submerged. Even about three hours after the rain stopped, people were seen struggling with the jam. A car got stuck in a pothole amid waterlogging on the service line near the DTC headquarters. People took the car out with great difficulty and got into the jam cleared.
