There is no harm to the common Muslims from the Waqf Amendment Act, rather it will be beneficial. There is no threat to religious places from this law. Some political people are misleading Muslims that mosques and madrasas will be taken away. Such things are meant to confuse, provoke, and incite Muslims.
These things were said by Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, in a press conference. Barelvi Maulana requested Muslims to refrain from protesting against the Waqf Amendment Act.
Barelvi Maulana said that there is no need to panic and fear the Waqf Act, nor is there any need to stage violent protests. Maulana said that in the case of CAA, Muslims came out on the streets and staged protests under the influence of political people. When the incidents became violent, 27 youths died in Uttar Pradesh and hundreds had to go to jail, so put forward your point with peace and tranquility.
Maulana said that the Waqf Amendment Act would help in improving the social and economic conditions of poor and weak Muslims. This will help children get a good education, orphans, and widowed women. Schools, colleges, madrasas, hospitals, and orphanages will be opened, which will remove the backwardness of poor Muslims.
Maulana said that there is no threat to mosques, madrasas, Idgahs, graveyards and dargahs. The government cannot interfere in these religious places. During this, Maulana Anees ur Rehman, Maulana Mujahid Hussain, Roman Ansari, Aslam Khan, Kashifal Ali, Phool Mian etc. were present.
