For the first time after her divorce with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, YouTuber-dancer and actress Dhanashree Verma has spoken about it. She openly expressed her opinion from the time of divorce to the trolling on social media that happened after it. Describing the divorce as an emotional moment, she said that she was completely broken at that time and started crying in front of everyone.
You have no right to insult your partner
During a podcast with Humans of Bombay, Dhanashree talked about divorce. She said that no one celebrates divorce. It is an emotional moment. That is why when we reached the court on the day of divorce and when this process started, I cried. She said that this is a time when you have to show a lot of maturity.
I did this, I did not even make any such statements, and took full care of the privacy of the family. When you get married, you are in love with each other. But when you are separated and you don't say anything, keep in mind the respect and privacy of the family. It doesn't mean that someone has the right to take advantage of you. You have no right to insult him.
This was Dhanashree's reaction to Chahal's 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy' T-shirt
Reacting to Yuzvendra Chahal's 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy' T-shirt during the divorce proceedings, Dhanashree said that when I was coming out of the court and sitting in the car and convincing myself, then I saw such things on social media on my phone. I was shocked to see this. After this, I thought about whether I was crying for this. After all, why should I cry now? When the other person is doing such a thing, then why should I cry? That very day, I decided that now I would not cry.
Your behavior tells about your personality
Dhanashree believes that how you are reacting on the day of divorce tells about your personality. It shows what kind of person you are, and the way she behaved that day shows her personality. Because we should show maturity at such times.
I have no control over social media and trolling
The choreographer-actress also talked about trolling and criticism of her on social media. She said that people often label women without knowing the whole story. But such comments and trolling have always happened. It is not in my control, and it does not affect me much now. My focus is only on my work and my career.
Regarding trolling, she said that even before marriage, when I used to post my dance videos on YouTube, people used to make wrong comments. Despite this, I focused on my work. I am proud of my work, and I have resolved to stay true to myself. Because now I cannot change my profession due to people's comments. Even after all this, I am still doing good work, and I am getting work continuously.
