On the occasion of National Space Day, a special program was organized at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. During this, Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, along with other astronauts going on the Gaganyaan mission, were also present. Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh and ISRO Chairman V Narayanan were also present in the program. Prime Minister Modi addressed this program virtually. In his address, PM Modi congratulated the countrymen on the second National Space Day.

'India is achieving new achievements one after the other in the space sector'

The Prime Minister said that 'The theme of this time's Space Day is from Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan. It has the confidence of the past as well as the resolve of the future. Today, we are seeing that in such a short time, National Space Day has become a matter of enthusiasm and attraction among our youth. This is a matter of pride for the country.' The Prime Minister said that 'achieving new achievements one after the other in the space sector has become the nature of India and Indian scientists. Just two years ago, India became the first country to create history by reaching the south pole of the moon. India will build its own space station in the near time

He said that 'Shubhanshu Shukla filled every Indian with pride by hoisting the tricolor on the International Space Station. When he was showing me the tricolor, that moment and feeling was beyond words. Today, India is moving rapidly in the direction of important technologies like semi-cryogenic engines and electric propulsion.
