Thanks to Dhoni's 14 runs, the Chennai team crossed the 170-run mark. Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl. Chennai scored 178 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.

 

Dhoni created history

Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also achieved a big achievement in this match. He completed 200 sixes for Chennai Super Kings. He has become the fifth batsman to hit 200 sixes for a single team. Chris Gayle is on top of this matter. He had hit 239 sixes for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). AB de Villiers has hit 238 for RCB, Kieron Pollard has hit 223 for Mumbai Indians and Virat Kohli has hit 218 sixes for RCB.

 

Ruturaj scored 92 runs

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored the maximum 92 runs for Chennai. Apart from him, Moin Ali played an inning of 23 runs. Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, and Mohammed Shami took two wickets each for Gujarat. At the same time, Joshua Little got a wicket.
