Friday is the 9th day for farmers to protest against agricultural laws. Farmers are preparing a strategy for the meeting to be held tomorrow. The farmer brothers have also got the support of Didi i.e. CM Mamata Banerjee of Bengal. Mamta Banerjee has spoken to several farmer leaders over the phone and told them that the Trinamool is fully in your movement against the central agricultural laws.

 

The process of returning the award in support of farmers continued on Friday for the second day. Writer Dr. Mohanjeet, thinker Dr. Jaswinder and journalist Swarajbir have returned their Sahitya Academy Awards. On Thursday, former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal returned his Padma Vibhushan Award. Apart from him, Rajya Sabha MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa had announced to return his Padma Bhushan.

 

Center agrees on reforms, but not farmers

 

In the conversation between farmers and the Center a day ago, on Thursday, it was clear that the movement would not stop. Darshanpal, the leader of the revolutionary farmers union, said today that the Center agreed to some reforms in the laws, but not us. We have told them that there is a flaw in the whole law. We will talk today and prepare our strategy before the meeting tomorrow. There is a meeting between organizations.

 

Foreign Ministry warns Canada

The Foreign Ministry has strongly objected to the statement of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding the peasant movement. The ministry has said that the statement of Canadian leaders regarding Indian farmers is an interference in our internal affairs, this cannot be tolerated. If this continues, the relationship between the two countries could be severely damaged. Along with this, India has also summoned the High Commissioner of Canada.

 

Trudeau, while supporting the protesting farmers of India on the day of Guru Nanak Jayanti, said that the situation was worrisome. They have always been in favor of peaceful protests.

 

9 points closed on Delhi border, farmers continue to gather

 

Due to the movement, traffic has been stopped at 9 points on the Delhi border. There are some alternative routes to Delhi, but traffic conditions are also bad on these. Farmers from Haryana and Punjab are continuously gathering at the border. Tonight, thousands of youth will gather at the Sindhu and Tikari borders. Their batch has left the villages. The Naujawan Bharat Sabha informed that youth from Moga, Faridkot, Muktsar, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Nawanshahar, Ropar, Sangrur, and Patiala are coming to the border.

 

Center said - MSP will remain, farmers said - issue is law

 

The fourth round of talks between the Center and the farmers lasted for about 7 hours. After the meeting, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar assured the farmers that the Minimum Support Prize (MSP) would not be touched. There will be no change in it. The provisions of the Act protect farmers. No one can read and write their land.

 

Farmers said - the issue is not the only MSP, but the withdrawal of the law completely. Indian Farmers Union spokesman Rakesh Tikait said that not just one, but many issues should be discussed. The fifth round of talks between the Center and the farmers will now be held on 5 December.

 

Farmers' food and jalebi in discussion

 

The attitude of the farmers was such that if there was a lunch break during the conversation, they ate the food they brought with them. Said - The government does not accept tea or food.
