Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for a five-nation visit today. This eight-day tour, which will run from 2 to 9 July, will be his longest diplomatic visit in the last ten years.

During this, he will visit Ghana, Trinidad-Tobago, Argentina, Brazil and Namibia. In Brazil, he will participate in the 17th BRICS summit on 6-7 July.

An Indian PM will visit Ghana after three decades.

PM Modi's tour will start from Ghana. The PM will stay here from 2 to 3 July. This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Ghana in three decades. During this, he will meet the President of Ghana and there will be talks on giving new heights to economic, energy, and defense cooperation. This will be a golden opportunity to further deepen the relations between the two countries.

After this, PM Modi will reach Trinidad and Tobago on 3-4 July. This will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister since 1999. This visit will give new strength to the trade and cultural relations between India and this Caribbean country.

Argentina and Brazil

The third leg of the tour will be in Argentina. PM Modi will be there on 4-5 July. There he will emphasize on further strengthening the partnership in areas like defense, agriculture, mining, oil and gas. This tour will give a new dimension to the economic and strategic relations between India and Argentina. After this, the PM will visit Brazil from 5-8 July.

PM Modi will meet Brazilian President Lula da Silva during the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro.

After the summit, President Silva will host a special dinner for PM Modi. In the BRICS Summit, PM Modi will talk about reforms in global governance, peace and security, strengthening multilateral institutions, responsible use of AI, necessary steps to reduce the threat of climate change and global health.

It is believed that apart from the summit, he will hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of many countries. During his official visit to Brazil, he will discuss with President Lula the steps to strengthen strategic partnership in the field of trade, defense, energy, space, technology, agriculture and health. Brazil is India's biggest trade partner in South America.

PM Modi to reach Namibia

The last stop of PM Modi's tour will be Namibia. The PM will reach here on July 9. He is also expected to give a speech in the Parliament there. This tour will give new impetus to cooperation between the two countries.

PM Modi will be the third Indian Prime Minister to visit Namibia. Bilateral trade between the two countries was only 3 million dollars in the year 2000, which has now reached about 600 million dollars. Indian companies have invested in Namibia's mining, manufacturing, diamond processing and services sector.
