The Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked yoga guru Baba Ramdev to not mislead the public on the statements of yoga guru Baba Ramdev on allopathy and treatment of Kovid-19. The High Court has said that your followers and disciples and such people who believe in you are welcome but no one should be misled by speaking more than anything official. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev is accused of spreading misinformation about the treatment of Kovid-19.
Swami Ramdev had criticized the doctors for the way they treated Kovid-19 cases. In a video that went viral in 2021, questioning some of the drugs being used to treat coronavirus infection, it was heard saying that 'millions of people have died after taking allopathic medicines for COVID-19'. This remark was strongly opposed by the unions of doctors. At the same time, the Delhi Medical Association filed a petition in the Delhi High Court.
'Allopathy has to save its reputation
Hearing the petition of the Delhi Medical Association, Justice Bhambani said, "My concern is to save the good name and reputation of Ayurveda. My aim is that no one should be misled against allopathy. The court further said that to say that I will not take the vaccine is a different thing, but to say that forgetting the vaccine, is useless but taking it, is a different thing.
IMA had demanded an apology
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) had served a defamation notice to Swami Ramdev for his alleged remarks against allopathic and allopathic doctors, demanding an apology from him within 15 days, failing which he said he would practice yoga. 1,000 crore compensation from The Delhi High Court had also sent a notice to Baba Ramdev last year.
