Nexus Malls has partnered with Jio-BP, a joint venture arm of Reliance Industries Limited and BP. Under this partnership, state-of-the-art EV charging and battery swapping stations will be built at Nexus Malls. It is worth noting that Nexus Mall is one of the largest mall chains in the country.
Jio-BP said in a statement that under the partnership, electric vehicle charging stations and battery roll-out stations will be installed in 17 Nexus malls located in 13 cities in India. Two and four-wheelers can be charged at these charging stations. The special thing will be that they can be used 24 hours.
In the statement, the company has said that in the first phase, these charging stations will be available in Nexus Malls located in Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Ahmedabad. These charging stations will be operational from June 2022. This initiative of Jio-BP will benefit all the stakeholders in the EV (Electric Vehicle) value chain.
Last year, the company built and launched two of the largest EV charging hubs in India. Significantly, Jio-BP is a joint venture unit of Reliance Industries Limited and BP. Jio-BP's electric mobility business provides charging infrastructure to Indian consumers.
